Many ways that you can get involved

There are many ways that you can get involved with the work United Way does to facilitate the increasing capacity of Geelong people to care for one another and to help provide resources to support the community’s growing need for high quality health and human care services. Donating is just one way to get involved - by attending one of our exciting events throughout the year, volunteering, running a fundraiser or becoming a loaned executive you have the chance to make a real difference in your community. The choices are endless!

Make a donation

All donations of $2 and over are tax deductible when you donate to United Way. You can donate as an individual, or as a company or business.

You can also make an in-kind donation by donating items which can then be distributed to United Way’s Community Partners.

Business Partnerships

Businesses of any size can become involved with United Way. Please contact us to discuss how your business can directly assist those in need in our community, whether it be through a one-off or ongoing donations, a fundraising event, volunteering or something else! Become a Loaned Executive

Each year dozens of people representing Geelong businesses accept a unique opportunity to develop personally and professionally while ensuring a better quality of life for those in most need in the Geelong Community.  As successful nominees for the program, participants undertake a 3 day training course - coming out the other side with greater personal and professional skills as well as the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team committed to promoting Workplace Giving throughout Geelong businesses

Volunteer

In order to distribute as much funds as possible we must maintain low overheads and utilize volunteer time and effort to implement our programs. We often need volunteers to get involved in the planning and managing of events, participate in the allocation of donations and assist with day to day operations.
